Journalist graduated from the University of Guadalajara (UdeG) in Mexico. Master's degree in Communication with a focus on Communication and Political Culture from the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), Mexico City. He is studying for a PhD in Communication at the Pompeu Fabra University, in the field of International Journalism. Research topic: Visual framing and journalistic production routines of International News Agencies in the coverage of migration flows in Central America, the Caribbean and Mexico.

He was a research assistant at the Journalistic Role Performance Project, Mexico chapter (Universidad Iberoamericana). He was editor of the newspaper Mural, located in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He also worked in the area of Dissemination and Communication at the University of Guadalajara. Also reporter at Radio Universidad de Guadalajara, and at Radio Universidad Santiago de Cali, in Cali, Colombia.
