Teacher assistant and predoctoral fellow at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Academic coordinator of the Master's Degree in Political and Institutional Communication at UPF-BSM. He holds degrees in Journalism and Humanities (UPF); Master's in Communication Research (UPF), in Communication and Digital Journalism: Data and New Narratives (UOC), and in Teacher Training (UVic). He has also taught at the Universitat de Barcelona and the Universitat Ramon Llull-Blanquerna. His research interests include disinformation, fact-checking platforms and crisis communication. Cuartielles collaborates with the fact-checking literacy platform Learn to Check and with the Fundació Bofill, and is a member of the research projects COMCRISIS and FACCTMedia. As a journalist he has worked for media outlets such as Europa Press and Ara.
