Camilo is a predoctoral student at the Department of Translation and Language Studies in Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF). Graduated german philologist from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and Master in Discourse Studies from the UPF. Camilo has worked assessing and coordinating assessors in the written component of the state examinations for undergraduate students (Saber Pro) in Colombia. He has also performed as editorial coordinator in the field of marketing and advertising.

His research field is political discourse, particularly the discourse about armed conflict and peace in Colombia.

In his doctoral research project, he analyzes the narratives built in opinion articles about the armed conflict in Colombia in the past 30 years. His research develops an analysis model for opinion articles based on narrative semiotics and discourse analysis.
