Born in 1966 in El Pla de Santa María (Tarragona). Graduate in Information Sciences - Journalism (Autonomous University of Barcelona, ​​1989) and PhD in Journalism (Pompeu Fabra University, 2003).
Professor of the Communication department at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) since 2006. Previously, associate professor since 1993. Dean of the UPF School of Communication from 2014 to 2017. Previously, director of the degree in Journalism, vice-dean and head of studies. Director of the Master in Corporate and Strategic Communication (UPF Barcelona School of Management), since 1996.
Principal investigator and coordinator of the project "Integrated Journalism in Europe" (2012-2015) (Erasmus-LLP). Team member of the MediaAct (FP7-2007-2013) and Ethics and Informational Excellence (MCYT 2006-09) projects.
Research lines: Newsroom integration and media convergence; Ethics, Excellence and Accountability in Contemporary European Journalism; History of Catalan journalism in the 20th century.
