Graduated in Audiovisual Communication from CESAG, Master in Social Communication from UPF and PhD in Communication from UPF. He is a promoter member and deputy coordinator of the Research Group on Political Communication, Media and Democracy -POLCOM-. He has given numerous lectures at national and international conferences, and is the author of several academic articles and book chapters on political and institutional communication in social media. In addition, he participated in the ECREA Doctoral Summer School 2017 where he presented his doctoral research. He has participated in different research projects such as:

1.- "Communicate in Emergency Situations. 2.0 tools and new protocols in the efficient management of emergencies” project awarded and financed by the BBVA Foundation.

2.- “Catalonia in the eyes of the world. Analysis of the presence and construction of the story of the socio-political context of Catalonia to the international press (2010-2015)” project granted and financed by the Institute for Self-Government Studies.

3.- "Study on the analysis of the representation of Catalonia in the international press (2016-2017)" project granted and financed by the Ministry for Foreign Action, Institutional Relations and Transparency of the Generalitat of Catalonia.

4.- "Study of the presence and representation of Catalonia to the international press (2019)" project granted and financed by Diplocat.

5.- "General historical catalog of the Catalan press (1810-1939)" project granted and financed by the Institute of Catalan Studies.

6.- "Hate speech in social networks: Muslims and attacks in 17A" project granted and financed by the International Catalan Institute for Peace (ICIP).

Currently he is part of the project: "Communication of crisis and emergencies in Social Media. Study of its use in Spain and design of information protocols for institutions and the media (COMCRISIS)" project granted and financed by the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of the Government of Spain.
