The Research project TOGETHER. Overcoming socio-educational barriers and promoting health literacy: intervention on the interferences and difficulties in understanding information and documentation addressed to families of children affected by rare diseases, was benefited with one of the 19 grants given by RecerCaixa 2015 the past Wednesday January 27, 2016.

The Principal Investigators of the Project are Dr. Rosa Estopà from the research group IULATERM (Lexicon and Technology) at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and Dr. Manuel Armayones from the research group PSiNET (Psychology, Health and Internet) at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

The project TOGETHER is an interdisciplinary and interuniversity project, which has the support of the Federación Española de Enfermedades Raras (FEDER). In addition to the groups IULATERM and PSiNET, there are also other research collaborators from the Universitat de Barcelona, the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, from the Universitat Cardenal Herrera and from the Universidade Estadual Paulista. There are also predoctoral fellows from the Universidade Federal da Paraíba and from the Université París Diderot. The project has 100,000 euros available.
