Biography note
PhD in Social Anthropology (2007, UAB, Spain), Ábel is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Education, at the University of Barcelona. Earlier a ‘Maria Zambrano’ Postdoc Fellow at UPF Department of Communication and research associate at Central European University’s Democracy Institute (CEU/DI). He teaches Anthropology, Education and Youth studies, supervises Master’s theses and doctoral dissertations, and has been a visiting teacher in several European universities. His articles have been published in Ethnic and Racial Studies, the British Journal of Sociology of Education, Compare: A Journal of Comparative and International Education, and Intercultural Education, among others. He editor of the Podcast “Retazos Antropológicos” of the anthropology journal of AIBR.
