Carles Besa has a degree in Lettres Modernes (Sorbonne University, Paris IV) and a PhD in Romance Philology (University of Barcelona). His lines of research are the literary theory and modern and contemporary French literature. He has published his works in journals such as "Études classiques", "Études françaises", "Études littéraires", "Rivista di letterature moderne e comparate", "Neophilologus", "Orbis litterarum" or "Romance Quarterly". He participates in the following project: "Ensayo y ensayistas en la dimensión internacional de la modernidad española". His current research focuses on the study of the hybridization between prose fiction and prose essay in contemporary novels.
