PerspectivaMente

PerspectivaMente is a web platform that offers content, information and tools to adults and families in need of mental health support

PerspectivaMente is a web platform that offers content, information and tools to adults and families in need of mental health support. We work essentially with three approaches. First, from awareness. With articles and dissemination in social networks we raise awareness in mental health to the general population. Secondly, we offer training and tools to people who have close experiences with a mental disorder (currently, to families with children with ADHD), not only offering them techniques, but inspiring them to improve and develop their strengths. Finally, we focus on transmitting our work to other agents that are part of the mental health ecosystem in Spain. This is the case of hospitals and health and educational centers, such as schools and universities. Thus, it is through training that we study how the work of professionals improves with our intervention.

In terms of innovation, PerspectivaMente offers a service that is not covered in the market and is specifically focused on a subject that is systematically invisible in society, yet is essential in any area of a person's life.

The project is active and with a consolidated level of activity. A user who needs information on mental health can access the platform whenever they need it. Once logged in, they can see the latest contents that have been uploaded to the platform and access the catalog of courses and materials or read our articles. This way, they can purchase the material they need or enroll in the course that suits them best.

The sustainability of the project is based on the sale of these courses, as well as on the collaboration with the different healthcare and educational centers where training and educational support will be provided, both in person and online.

Undoubtedly, the exchange of knowledge and collaboration between students and areas of UPF ensures the growth of the project in the line of higher education. There is a shortcoming that, as a student at UPF, it is inevitable to detect both individually and collectively: at many times in the life of a student or a professor, it is completely necessary to have mental health support to be able to manage the different challenges we face.
