Overoom

Imatge inicial

Overoom is a real estate technology service that transforms and condenses in-person visits into engaging video-summaries, merging photos and 3D scans to show the entire property.

Overoom revolutionizes real estate development by combining 3D scans, photos and immersive videos into a single audiovisual piece that summarizes a visit. This technology allows consumers to explore properties in a detailed and comfortable way, without the need to make multiple visits in person, achieving for the first time that this does not involve sacrifices in the buyer's experience. It allows the seller to save visits without negatively impacting the number of end clients, thus multiplying the efficiency of the costly acquisition process of buyers/tenants.

History and objectives of the project:

Overoom was born out of the need to overcome the limitations of traditional real estate presentations, which usually require at least one face-to-face visit by potential buyers or renters in order to really connect with the space, understand it and fully appreciate it.

This process of searching and visiting numerous properties, experienced in depth by founder Oriol Pont during his search for a student apartment rental, is highly inefficient and frustrating for both buyers and sellers (many useless visits end up choosing only one). Overoom's mission is to simplify and enrich this process by offering an alternative (online and scalable) that allows interested parties to get a clear and complete idea of the properties: through an Overoom video.

The project, launched in 2023, has been under development for about a year, maintaining in parallel a production branch (with real customers and market exposure) and a development branch (to keep innovating and tirelessly pursuing the objectives described below); and has been validated during the Explorer Program offered by Banco Santander.

Overoom's main objectives, to achieve the mission of summarizing property visits in a single video to eliminate the need for face-to-face visits when evaluating candidates, similar to those pursued in large innovative technology projects, can be summarized as follows:

  1. Make it great: Optimize the visual quality and immersiveness of Overoom videos to ensure that they not only recreate but enhance the full experience of an in-person visit to a property; present both the details, general structure and features of the property; and do so in a way that is engaging, understandable and easy to consume. Overoom's premise is that a good video could save you a visit to the property, and that if this is not yet the case with Overoom videos, it would be because the result is not yet good enough (constantly evolving).
  2. Make it cheap: Make the production process of an Overoom video have a cost far away from the production of an audiovisual work of these characteristics, and therefore make it completely affordable for any real estate agency.
  3. Make it available: Systematize the capture of the necessary material to potentially have the ability to scale and be able to generate as many Overoom videos as properties are published on real estate platforms throughout Spain and the world.

It is with these motives and strategy that Overoom, a project with its own character and that integrates the latest advances in research into its processes, wants to transform the presentation and promotion of real estate properties, and ultimately the entire experience of searching and selecting a property.
