Academic tutoring

Your task consists in...

Ensuring the good academic monitoring of students. This follow-up is especially important at two points in time:

1. Before registration when tutoring (face-to-face or online) is required with the prospective student to advise them regarding their academic career.

The following should be agreed to at this meeting:

  • The subjects to be taken depending on the student’s academic interests and the knowledge required (e.g., languages) for each subject.
  • The follow-up of full time or part-time studies, depending on the availability of the student.

This tutorial minimizes changes in enrolment, dropping out and prevents appeals of a financial nature.

The outcome of the meeting should be a preregistration sheet signed by both parties, to be submitted to the UCA administrative support.

2. During the academic year it is advisable to continue monitoring the progress of students to prevent breaches of the continuance standards (students who do not pass half of the credits for the first year and should quit the master’s degree).
