Once prospective students have paid to reserve their place, the Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies Office sends them three documents:

• An official letter of admission
• A visa letter (if required)
• The document entitled “Welcome Pack”, which contains general information about the legal procedures that must be taken before leaving their country of origin, health insurance, general UPF academic matters, “living in Barcelona”, etc.

1. Prior to the students’ arrival: it is advisable for the master’s degree management to take steps to guide the students regarding the subjects for which they must register and the running of the master’s degree and of the University in general.
2. First days of the academic year: organize a welcome session for all students on the master’s degree offering the contents deemed necessary (organization and presentation of the master’s degree and the teaching staff, UPF academic regulations, how to use the library, etc.).
