Sandra Martorell has a bachelor's degree in Audiovisual Communication, a postgraduate degree in Artistic Production and a PhD in Cultural and Communication Industries from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, although part of her academic career was combined with stays at other universities such as the Pompeu Fabra University or the Université Lumière Lyon II. She is also a superior technician in Artistic Photography from the Serra i Abella School of Art and Superior Design (Barcelona). Currently and after having spent more than a decade dedicated to the audiovisual world in different media as a technician and journalist, and having been a professor at universities such as the International University of Catalonia or the Open University of Catalonia, she is a professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, and more specifically in the Department of Audiovisual Communication, Documentation and History of Art.
