On May 11 and 12, the workshop entitled “CLIMA Project” will be held at Hotel Trias in Palamós, bringing together researchers and professionals to discuss the impacts of climate change on public health, with a special focus on the analysis of excess mortality associated with extreme events such as heat waves and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among other topics, the workshop will address the geographical variability of excess mortality in Catalonia, the impact of extreme heat and its interaction with air pollution, as well as new spatiotemporal approaches applied to environmental epidemiology.
