1977-1989: Chair of Philosophy in the University of Kyoto.

1989: Emeritous Professor of Philosophy of Religion in the University of Hanazono.

2004: Herder publishes Zen y filosofía in Spanish, and Ueda presents it in the frame of activities of the Haas Library.
