The Research Group on Synthetic Biology for Biomedical Applications is led by Dr. Javier Macía. Their background on the systems and synthetic biology and the new advancements on the IT and computational tools have encouraged this group to merge both techniques to be able to design new strategies for biomedical applications.
Their main research lines are:
- Engineering principles for designing synthetic genetic circuits
- New paradigms in multicellular computation
- Applied Bioengineering
