The Endocrine Regulatory Genomics group, led by Dr. Lorenzo Pasquali, combines molecular genetics and bioinformatic approaches to understand the regulatory mechanisms that control function and cell fate of endocrine tissues.
The group is currently studying the genomic and epigenetic regulation of the insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells. Their research is focused on the regulatory changes implicated in different forms of diabetes and in neoplastic conditions such as pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors.
