The article, writen by Antoine Grimaldi, David Kane, and Marcelo Bertalmio, and titled ‘Statistics of natural images as a function of dynamic range’, compares the statistics of SDR and HDR images in order to find which measurements have a strong correlation to the dynamic range of photographic images.
