OTTOW, RAMONA
Ramona Ottow is a PhD candidate in the Political and Social Sciences department at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), under the supervision of Dr. John Palmer. She is a member of the DemoSoc Research Group and participates in the Human-Mosquito Interaction Project.
Her research focuses on methodologies in Sociodemography and network estimation for infectious disease research.
She holds a Master of Science in Statistics from the Humboldt University of Berlin, Technical University Berlin, Free University Berlin and Charité Berlin and a Bachelor of Science in Technomathematics from the Technical University Berlin.
Ramona has taught courses in Analysis and Linear Algebra at the Technical University Berlin and gained further professional experience as a Data Scientist analyzing patent data.
She volunteers her time to encourage and support students from non-academic family backgrounds to pursue higher education in order to reduce educational inequality based on social background.
