Mehdi is a Ph.D. candidate in the Political and Social Science Department at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) under the supervision of Simone M. Schneider.

He received an M.A. in psychology and a B.Sc in mechanical engineering in Iran. He is interested in how people’s judgments and perceptions of justice are shaped. In his thesis, he combines a diverse set of methodologies including multi-level modelling to examine the psychological, structural, and cultural roots of attitudes toward justice and inequality.
