KENT, JONATHAN

Jonathan Kent is at PhD student at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and a member of the DemoSoc Research Group. His thesis research sits at the intersection of urban design theory and intergroup contact theory, examining how the social infrastructure of cities affects our daily interactions and attitudes towards our neighbors. He is interested in interculturalism, diversity management policy, geography, inequality, and critical race theory.

 

Previously, Jonathan worked for ten years in American politics as a communications aide in the United States House of Representatives, an organizer for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, and a strategic consultant for civil rights and health equity NGOs. He holds a Bachelor of Science in political science from Northeastern University and a Master from UPF’s Current Democracies: Nationalism, Federalism and Multiculturalism program.
