Professor David Nibert, Wittenberg University, was the guest in the conversation with Núria Almiron, co-director of the UPF-CAE, in the CAE-Talk held on 30th September 2021.

 

David Nibert is a scholar/activist who teaches courses on animals and society, global injustice, the sociology of law, and social stratification. He has worked as a tenant organizer, as a community activist, and in the prevention of mistreatment and violence against devalued groups. Professor Nibert is the author of Animal Rights/Human Rights: Entanglements of Oppression and Liberation (2002); Animal Oppression and Human Violence: Domesecration, Capitalism, and Global Conflict (2013); and editor of the two volumes of Animal Oppression and Capitalism (2017).
