Project description

The research addresses the challenges of immersive cinema in relation to editing and visual syntax, exploring how this medium can develop its own language. Formal problems such as the lack of framing and optics are identified, which affects the viewers’ perception in immersive experiences. The methodology included the development of a prototype of a short film in virtual reality. Different editing structures of traditional cinema and their adaptation to VR were tested. Advanced tools were utilized, including Maya 2024 for 3D animation and Unity 6 with Sequencer and Cinemachine for VR production.
