Project description

Applied research project in journalistic innovation on the informational references on TikTok for young audiences. This multidisciplinary project has been conducted among Journalism students from different academic years, researchers from the Department of Communication, members of the Diari de Barcelona, the team at ARSENAL and a Catalan media outlet. The project features an applied research component. The project analyses the information and the current affairs references on TikTok, defines the thematic areas of interest that they address, assesses their main characters, identifies the use of multimedia elements and detects the missing elements. Finally, the project sets out a specific proposal for informational content for this social media platform for a media outlet in the Catalan ecosystem.

ARSENAL-LEAD intervention

ARSENAL-LEAD organizes and facilitates the joint work sessions and guides the student team in the creation of a practical news project on TikTok for a young audience in the context of Catalonia.
