Synopsis

At fifteen, Roger decides to initiate a legal process so that Laura can be officially recognized as his mother. Since birth, he has only had the surname of his biological mother, Sílvia. Laura and Sílvia have been separated for over ten years.

Roger asks Laura for help but wants to maintain control over the situation. Meanwhile, Sílvia doubts the necessity of such a process and fears its implications. At this moment, Roger begins an exhaustive search into his past, confronting it in order to decide his future.

Roger will begin a path of unlearning what he has been, in order to know what he is, and how he wants to be.

Madre B is a fictional feature film with coming-of-age elements about the search for identity during a stage of life full of decisions that shape our future.

The goal has been to support the project in its early stages before securing a production company, facilitating connections with industry professionals and experts relevant to the story (e.g., attorneys with a PhD in Civil Law).
