IBERN REGÀS, PERE
Main Researcher of the Centre for Research in Health and Economics (CRES) Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
His main research interests include health economics, health management, health policy and regulation, economics of organization and business strategy.
Graduated in Business Studies for ESADE and Master on Business Administration (MBA) (1982) for the same center. He has done an Executive Program on Advanced Management Studies in Health Services at Yale University, School of Management (1987). Doctor in Management Science from Universitat Ramon Llull (1994). He has broad experience in the field of health planning and management. He was general manager of Hospital Sant Jaume de Blanes (1984-1988), general manager of PAMEM (Medical Assistance Services to Municipal Staff) of Barcelona City Council (1988-1991), general manager of Health Consortium of Mataro (1992-1993). He was the president of Health Economics Association (AES) (2006-2008) and member of the board of the Spanish Society of Public Health and Health Administration (SESPAS) (2006-2008).
