OLIVA RODRÍGUEZ, IRENE

Researcher at CRES-UPF.
Her research interests are in applied economics focused on health and its relationship with poverty, inequality, and climate change. She is also particularly interested in the economic evaluation of prevention mechanisms and new treatments and drugs within the public health system.
Previously, she has done an internship in the Management of the North Metropolitan Health Region located in the Health Economics Unit of the Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital. She worked on the analysis of public health policies at the microeconomic level and helped in economic evaluation projects together with the rest of the unit dealing with international health, prevention, and efficiency issues.
She holds a degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and is currently pursuing a Master in Economic Policy at Utrecht University (The Netherlands).
