BORRELL ARQUÉ, JOAN RAMON
BSc and PhD degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona (1993 and 1999), and a MA degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick (1996). He completed a postdoctoral stay in the Department of Economics at Harvard University (2000-2001).
Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Barcelona (Professor Titular) and research fellow at University Pompeu Fabra Center for Health Economics (CRES) and Navarra University IESE Public Private Sector Research Center (PPRS). Acting coordinator of the UB Master in Economics, Regulation and Competition in Public Services. Graduate and postgraduate lecturer of Industrial Organization, Empirical IO and Quantitative Techniques for Regulation and Antitrust. Author of 14 articles in JCR journals (and 30 other publications) in the area of empirical industrial organization, data analysis, and policy evaluation. He has been PI in 1 and member in 8 competitive research projects. Supervisor of 4 PhD theses, and supervising 4 PhD students.
