Coordinator of the Health Services Research Group at IMIM (Hospital de Mar Research Institute Barcelona), Professor of Public Health at the Department of Medicine and Health Sciences of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra, associate faculty at John Hopkins University (Dept. Health Policy and Management, Bloomberg School, deputy scientific director of the Center for Biomedical Research Network in Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP) and collaborator of the Centre for Research in Economics and Health (CRES). His research uses the epidemiological perspective to estimate the global burden of mental disorders and suicide and access to health services.
