Eva Navarro

Navarro, Eva

Eva is a phD candidate in the Department of Communication at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and a member of the CritiCC communication research group. Her research focuses on the representation of non-human animals in the media, public institutions and interest groups, as well as on social movements that advocate for ecosocial transitions. Her background includes a Master's degree in Political Ecology, Degrowth and Environmental Justice, a Master's in Philosophy for Contemporary Challenges, and a degree in Psychology.  Eva is currently conducting her PhD research, titled "Invading public discourse: the characterization of animals as 'pests' and the role of interest groups" under the supervision of Dr. Núria Almiron.
