On the 21st of October, and after more than a month of individual assessment of all the received projects, the Phonos Foundation have finally agreed to award the Phonos Residency of Musical Creation Pyrenees-Mediterranean to Marc Vilanova, who will soon start working on a new sound installation. The Phonos members in the discussion were Ángel Faraldo, Andrés Lewin-Richter, Albert Llanas, and Sergi Jordà.
It has been a difficult endeavour to evaluate the 37 proposals received, containing different approaches to music composition and improvisation, sound art, sculpture and installation, urbanism, digital instrument and interface design, cultural and sound studies, and music technology in a more general sense.
