Sound is necessarily related to movement from its own conception and definition. In a performative context, the body plays a nexus role between both concepts. Sound and musical gestures are presented to us consequently as an object of study, as well as a creative tool that is increasingly being used and perceived among various artists in the most recent creation. In this talk on performative musical gesture as creative element, Lizarazu will illustrate and share her thoughts on the topic, result of her own artistic practice and doctoral research.
