For the closure of the Phonos Fall Festival, we have commissioned the multifaceted agitator of Barcelona's experimental musical life, Dj Shak, a tailor-made DJ session remixing material from the Phonos Foundation's sound archive with total freedom, and even debauchery. A proposal to deconstruct historical records of catalan electroacoustic music, to even up dancing to them. This unique and unrepeatable session will be aired on Saturday 16 October at the radio programme "Los Archivos Phonos" at teslafm.net.

Bio

SHAKIRA BENAVIDES has been on the Barcelona scene since the 90s, as a former spiritual co-founder of Wah Wah Discos and DJ, and later as an electronic musician with her projects Lucius Works Here and Johannes de Silentio. Her musical background is comparable to that of her former mythical record store, both in her live sessions and in radio programmes on various local stations for more than two decades. She is currently the owner of the online radio station TeslaFM.net. She has been behind the decks for more than 20 years, having played in almost all the emblematic places of the city, such as Apolo, Moog, Razzmatazz, Bikini, Sidecar; and festivals such as Dr.Music Festival, Sonar, Primavera Sound or LEM.
