06.10.2021

The 1st Symposium of the ICTM Study Group on Sound, Movement, and the Sciences (SoMoS) took place from September 28th to 30th. Hosted by the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, due to the COVID-19 pandemic it was held on-line. In the first day of the symposium, the researcher of Musical Bridges Rafael Caro Repetto presented the most recent work carried out in the project. This consists in two new developed tools, aimed to aiding understanding of melodic patterns in North Indian clasical music and Arab-Andalusian music, the latter being the first one developed for this music tradition. These tools received a good response from the participants to the symposium.

The pre-recorded video of the presentation is available in the attached multimedia material.

The new developed tools are available in the following links (the use of Chrome is recommended):

The main content of the presentation has been published in the form of an extended abstract in the Proceedings of the First Symposium of the ICTM Study Group on Sound, Movement, and the Sciences (SoMoS), available at the following link: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.5514166
