Presentation of Musical Bridges to the ICTM and other academic societies in Beijing

Last July 11 to 14, 2018, in Beijing, took place the International Music Forum With Six Sister Societies: The 3rd Forum of the International Council for Traditional Music: Approaches to Research on Music and Dance in the Internet Era. During this forum, researchers from six different academic societies, such as the International Council for Traditional Music (ICTM), the Society for Ethnomusicology (SEM), the International Musicological Society (IMS), the International Association of Music Libraries, Archives and Documentation Centres (IAML), the International Association for the Study of Popular Music (IASPM) and the Association for Traditional Music in China (中国传统音乐学会), presented their work. The paper by the Musical Bridges researcher Rafael Caro Repetto, with the title “Computational tools for aiding appreciation of music cultures: Jingju as a test case” was accepted for its presentation in this forum.
