In 2007, Pompeu Fabra University created its own annual call for aid in the fields of solidarity and cooperation for development which, over the years, has collaborated in the execution of 173 projects
This call for aid has special consideration for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: an action plan, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015; an action plan in favor of people, the planet and prosperity, which also aims to strengthen universal peace and access to social justice.
It also has in mind the 2016-2025 Strategic Plan of the UPF, which promotes a participatory and socially responsible community. Along these lines, it offers activities that show the University's commitment to social responsibility, that develop people's well-being and the spirit of volunteerism and that allow the members of our university community to fully train as citizens.
The financial endowment for the call comes from the solidarity fund, which includes funds from the University's general budget, the Social Council's budget and voluntary contributions from members of the university community (students, professors and administration and service staff) or other specific donations.
For these reasons, UPF Solidària has once again opened the annual call for grants for solidarity projects for 2023.
