Bruno Paun is a PhD student at PhySense research group, Department of Information and Communication Technologies at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) in Barcelona, Spain. He graduated from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science where he finished integrated undergraduate and graduate five-year university programme and received his Master of Education in Physics and Technology in 2012. His master thesis was carried out under supervision of Dr. Antonio Šiber, Institute of Physics under the title “Investigation of caustics using ray tracing and comparison with experiments”. He started his PhD in PhySense research group under the supervision of Dr. Constantine Butakoff and Dr. Bart Bijnens in February 2013. Since February 2014 he is funded by the Generalitat de Catalunya with a FI grant. His thesis is focused on analysis of the role of the detailed cardiac anatomy on the cardiac function.
