María Palazzi received a Bsc degree (2011) and a MSc degree in Fundamental Physics (2013) from the Universidad de Los Andes, Mérida, Venezuela. In her Master's thesis, she studied the collective behavior of chimera states (localized synchronization) of a system consisting of two reciprocally interacting populations of chaotic elements. She started her PhD in PhySense research group under the supervision of Dr. Bart Bijnens in December 2014.
