During this week Sonar Festival will take place in Barcelona, and the MTG this year again participates in the professional section of the festival, Sonar +D.

As in the past years we co-organise the Sonar Innovation Challenge, in which we foster collaboration between innovative tech companies and the creative community (programmers, designers, artists) to produce disruptive prototypes through challenges that can be approached from a technical and/or artistic perspective.

The results awill be showcased in Sónar+D on Friday 19, 18:10h at Stage+D (P4. Level 1)

17 July, 2019. 25 years of music technology research in Barcelona:

Perfecto Herrera will give a talk about the 25 years of history of the Music Technology Group, since its inception to the current activity of the group. During the talk different video-demos of prototypes and technologies will be commented, including insights on researching topics that involve music performers, composers and listeners.
