The strategic sample brings together participants with a common feature that excludes the rest. The sample of quotas is selected based on a percentage known a priori. For example: if 30% of the population does not read newspapers, it is established that in the sample only 70% of the subjects read newspapers and the rest do not (Wimmer and Dominick, 1996).
