Last March 13th a new edition of the #GirlsHack took place, with over 400 people taking part in the free workshops for girls and women between 7-17 years, and the first #WomeninLab action, with dedicated talks, workshops and a speed-mentoring action for women above 16 years old.

The action, co-organised with the group GirlsinLab, was possible thanks to the contribution of over 60 volunteers running workshops and logisitics, over 30 mentors from UPF and external centers, and the financial and logistic support of organisations such as Google, Eurecat, Accenture and the Institut Català de les Dones. Check our blog entry for more details, as well as the section on Gender Activities within the María de Maeztu Strategic Program for all other actions promoting an increased and improved participation of women in technology.
