More than 300 boys and girls have presented robots to improve energy management in the FIRST LEGO League tournament held at UPF
More than 300 boys and young people organized into 29 teams participated this Saturday, February 18, in the FIRST LEGO League qualifying tournament on UPF's Poblenou campus in Barcelona. Two of these teams have been selected for the FIRST LEGO League State Grand Final. FIRST LEGO League is the international reference program to promote the knowledge of young people in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Asociación Ingenieria Soy is the organizer of the event throughout Spain with the collaboration of the universities and centers that host the tournaments, such as UPF.

The Poblenou campus of UPF has hosted this Saturday, February 18, a new edition of the FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournament in Barcelona. More than 300 children have participated in this tournament, which is part of an international program to promote scientific and technological vocations between children and young people based on different learning experiences. The Asociación Ingeniera Soy and UPF have organized this FIRST LEGO League Qualifying Tournament on the Poblenou campus of the University. In total, 29 teams made up of more than 300 children and adolescents between 10 and 16 years old have participated in this tournament. More than 500 people participated in the event, with a marked recreational and festive character, also taking into account the coaches of the teams, family members and staff of the organization.
The organization of the tournament held this weekend on UPF's Poblenou campus has been possible thanks to a volunteer team of 35 people from the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) of the University.
