We welcome our new Associate Researcher Paolo Leotti at GRITIM-UPF!

Paolo Leotti is Deputy Director of Gabinet d’Estudis Socials, a cooperative specialised in qualitative research and is also Associate Researcher at GRITIM-UPF. 

He graduated from the University of Bolonia with a BA in Political Sciences and holds a MA in Immigration Management (UPF) and a MA in Cooperation for Development, being the nexus between migration and development his main area of interest. 

He managed the REDEL project harnessing remittances from Senegalese Diasporas settled in Catalonia, and as a Migration Delegate he coordinated a humanitarian assistance in Mauritania addressed to stranded migrants. 

He has taken part in several research projects targeting migrations such as Replace FGM, where the behavioural change approach was applied to the Female Genital Mutilation, EUDIM, aimed at managing cultural diversity in small and medium-sized organizations, THB Facilitating Corporate Social Responsibility in the field of Human Trafficking, or UWT, Undocumented workers transitions, which consisted of compiling evidence concerning the boundaries and processes of change in the status and work of undocumented workers in Europe. 

As a Senior Evaluator, he is currently conducting external assessment of Europe Aid funded projects targeting migration management in Africa and Southern Asia. In the past, he was involved in the mid-term evaluation of the Master Plan of the Catalan Cooperation for Development 2015-2018, and in the evaluation of proposals of the Horizon 2020 Skłodowska-Curie Actions Individual Fellowships programme (H2020-MSCA-IF) in the domain of migrations.
