Poblenou campusUPF remains in ninth place overall and eighth among the public universities, the same positions as last year, in the new "50 carreras" list in the newspaper El Mundo.

This classification, which assesses all Spain's public and private universities, includes the 50 degrees with the most demand from students last June and the five best universities for taking them.

This ranking assesses a total of fourteen bachelor's degree programmes of the 21 taught at UPF, of which four are in first position, two is in second place, two are in fourth position and one in fifth.

This means that 60% of the qualifications assessed are among the top five in the ranking. With these overall results, UPF consolidates the positive trend of results in previous rankings, and its place in the leading positions remains stable.

Selection criteriafor the El Mundo ranking

The El Mundo report, which this year is published for the twelfth time, presents the details of the top 48 Spanish universities, and public universities dominate the table. 25 valuation criteria in three major sections were considered. The first is a questionnaire for lecturers all over Spain (weighted with 40%); the second section includes data from the university itself - university demand, human resources, physical resources, syllabus, results and contextual information.

These details account for 50% of the final mark. Finally, various external indicators are taken into consideration, which in total account for 10%, such as the results of international rankings, reports by the National Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation (ANECA), self-evaluation reports by the centres, and the results of reports by Spanish universities, among others.
