Xuksa Kramcsak is interviewed about her PhD thesis in El Periódico

23.03.2019

CritiCC's member Xuksa Kramcsak has recently been interviewed in El Periódico on her PhD thesis about the discourse of environmental NGOs in Spain.

Kramcsak explains the limitations of the environmental NGOs in the current political structure where many of these environmental associations have transformed claims to fit within a more "politically correct" rhetoric. She underlines the importance of the new ecological discourse that vindicates the need to change the social and economic structure to save the planet. Kramcsak affirms "The key, as proposed by the new ecologists, is to find an alternative to the neoliberal capitalist system. And that is why in his speech is not only talk about environment but also other ideas related to social justice as, for example, the solidarity economy, food sovereignty, work cooperatives and degrowth, among others". She also mentions decolonial eco-feminism and its intersectional approach to consider all forms of oppression.
