In September, 26th., Pilar Medina-Bravo was invited by the Executive MBA Programme (Barcelona School of Management, UPF) to give a lecture entitled Negocios, diversidad cultural y mentalidad global: una relación posible? [Business, cultural diversity and global mentality: a possible relation?]
The conference was focused in detailing the common aspects that we share regardless of our culture of origin (prejudices, ethnocentrism, necessities but also the ability for cognitive and emotional empathy). From these common referents, the presenter reflected about the cultural conflicts that can be generated by the different emotional interpretations and in what ways this should be taken into account while developing leadership works.
