Knowledge transfer and publication of results > Introduction to knowledge transfer

Once a research project has been designed in all phases, and everything is ready to apply certain research methods and techniques so that we can solve a research problem posed around a topic of social relevance, with certain objectives, to answer research questions, solve variables and thus validate certain hypotheses, it is also necessary to design a plan for knowledge transfer, publication of results and communication. Science is a social activity, which to a large extent, either through competitive public research projects or through agreements and contracts with companies, must revert to society. Not only in the form of books, chapters, articles or communications in scientific congresses aimed exclusively at the scientific community.

In this field, journalists and communication researchers have a great advantage: our profession as social researchers provides us with research results, and our profession as communicators helps us to offer them to society at all levels, from the most specialized to the most informative. Digital technology helps us: today, the WWW and social networks are fundamental allies in the process of disseminating research results, knowledge and information quickly and effectively.
