On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the ERASMUS programme, as of 9.30 am on 9 March UPF will be hosting the meeting “The Erasmus Generation, 30th Anniversary of professional success”, organized by the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). The aim of the meeting is to reflect, on the basis of a series of talks, round tables and workshops, on the benefits that studying abroad contributes to the professional field.

The event will be attended by Raül Romeva, minister of Foreign Affairs, Institutional Relations and Transparency of the Catalan Government; Jaume Casals, UPF rector; Mercè Jou, general secretary of the Interuniversity Council of Catalonia, and Safi Sabuni, president of the Erasmus Student Network – AISBN, among others.

Some of the highlights of the talks and workshops laid on are the round table “Once Erasmus, always Erasmus”, with the participation of alumni who enjoyed an ERASMUS grant and have become successful professionals; the Personal Branding workshop, to create your digital image; and the lecture “Reflections on the Erasmus programme”, to be given by Fernando Guirao, Jean Monnet professor of the History of European Integration at UPF.

The meeting will serve as a starting point for the #ESNBarcelonaExperience, that will take place during the following weekend (10-12 March) and will gather in Barcelona more than 1,500 international students who are doing an ERASMUS programme in different Spanish cities.

One of main events of the weekend will be the Flag parade on Friday 10 March. It will take place at 3.30 pm and will follow the route between the Arc de Triomf and the Ciutadella campus passing through the Park, with the aim of promoting international mobility and interculturality.

It will end up in the courtyard of the Roger de Llúria building on UPF’s Ciutadella campus, where the international students will find a fair of institutions and organizations linked with the world of ERASMUS.
