For the sixth consecutive year, UPF is organizing the Barcelona International Summer School (BISS), which will offer students from UPF and other universities around the world the opportunity to take new subjects that are not found on their annual syllabus and will allow them to participate in advanced training based on the academic strengths of the University. The programme will be held from 3 to 28 July.

BISS was born in 2018 with the aim of becoming the benchmark summer programme for students of UPF and from universities around the world. This year a total of 21 courses will be run, designed as an invitation to think and learn beyond the traditional disciplines. The subjects cover topics ranging from the circular economics, global justice and sustainable development to the humanities. Structured into modules of different duration and intensity, the courses can be combined flexibly over periods of between one and four weeks.
