Since these substantial grants were first introduced, to the amount of 2-2.5 million euros per project, the projects of fifteen lecturers at UPF have been awarded Advanced (seven) or Starting grants (eight). It is notable that of these 15 grants, five have been awarded to researchers at the Research Centre for International Economics (CREI). For UPF Group as a whole, the figure rises to twenty-two, if we include the two advanced and the five starting grants obtained by the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), in which UPF participates.

By areas, UPF's Department of Economics and Business has eight of the fifteen (three advanced and five starting); the Department of Information and Communication Technologies (DTIC) has been awarded three (one advanced and two starting);  two go to the Department of Experimental and Health Sciences (CEXS), one for each of the two modalities and, finally, the Political and Social Sciences and Humanities departments have been awarded with one advanced grant each. All seven awarded to the CRG belong to the branch of Life Sciences.
